HR Coordinator
AltaSteel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated HR Coordinator to join our dedicated HR team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR functions, from recruitment to benefits management and other various administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, conducting reference checks and sending offer letters.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless transition.
- Draft and proof read organizational documents such as policies and memorandums.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HSE Database and act as the SharePoint library administrator.
- Ability to run reports from the HRIS system as needed.
- Enter purchase requisitions and complete monthly invoicing.
- Support in benefit administration, including enrollment changes and responding to employee queries.
- Update information and provide administrative support as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Highly detail oriented and able to follow and understand policies and procedures.
- Administrative experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint considered an asset.
- Experience working with HRIS considered an asset.
- Logical, highly organized, focused and able to multi-task effectively within tight timelines.
- Self-motivated - able to work independently and without supervision, and also to act as a team player with a helpful and positive attitude.
- Outgoing, friendly, professional personality with excellent verbal & written communication skill.
